Is my Ipod broken

I have a 30Gb Ipod, and it seems to lock up about once a week. It always happens just as I dock it for a synch, and it even freezes my PC.

The screen locks, and I then have to wait for the battery to run out b4 I can redock it & everything is fine.

Any ideas?

Hmm, I dunno. Phone Apple, they might be able to help you (sorry that I'm using such a cliched response).

maybe you are having a software failure.
try any of the two options:-
1. call apple customer care for help (as said above)
2. restore your phones firmware version or check out if you can upgrade your firmware.

most probably either of the two will help you.
