Will the opening of the App Store reduce number of Jailbreaks?

I'm wondering if the opening of the Applications Store will reduce the number of iPhones that may be Jailbroken.

I have not jailbroken my iPhone. Maybe I'm wrong but it's my impression that most folks jailbreak their iPhone to take advantage of some software they otherwise would not otherwise have access to.

Now, there may be others who do the jailbreaking to be able to use the iPhone in an unauthorized country or to, perhaps, sign up for service with a carrier other than the one previously arranged for in their country.

Are there any other reasons that I'm missing? I confess to being ignorant about the jailbreak process and all of the reasons why folks choose to do it. I'm just hoping to enhance my understanding of this jailbreaking phenomenon.
