| iPhone freezes on Java script websites
I have tried unsuccessfully to open a number of web sites thru Safari like aol.com and they only partially load, freeze, and I get a "Java script error." I called Apple and they said yes any web sites with Java script and pops ups cannot be opened by Safari. This is very limiting for a phone I bought because of the beautiful browser and screen functions! Anyone else report similar problem? Any work arounds? (Apple says no available at this time) Thanks in advance for your help! |

Well, it seems that such sites are not compatible with iPhone's JavaScript engine. Probably Apple will fix it in future iPhone software updates.

Yes but it seems that aol.com would be a VERY common website to go to! Could it be that I have a software setting (or security setting) that is doing this that I could change? Thx

Does anyone know if the 1.1.1 upgrade will fix the problem opening websites with Java that right now the iPhone Safari cannot view. It's a bummer still if it can't... ![]() |
