iPhone 3G Help

Whats up everyone this is my first time on the forums and I need some help with my iPhone 3G.

What I want to do is use my T-Mobile Sim in my iPhone.
The iPhone is version 2.2.1 and baseband 2.30.03.
I have already Jailbreaked the iPhone and tried yellowsn0w but that didn't seem to work. I got service for 5 minutes but wasn't able to call or receive calls. After the 5 minutes I got No Service again.

Now I have a Rebel Sim and that doesn't seem to work either. It still says No Service or No Sim.

Has anyone got any tips or instructions on how to get the Rebel Sim to work.
(I live in the UK)

All help is much appreciated.

The 2.2.1 isn't unlockable with yellowsn0w. I've heard Fuzzyband from Cydia can downgrade your baseband.
