Importing Pictures

I'm running MAC OS X so if you're on a PC you probably can't help.

I guess the default program is iPhoto, but I don't have iPhoto...

You no need to have iTunes to import pictures.
Just conncet to your iphone to your computer, go to Mycomputer, there you can see an Apple Camera kind of thing, double click on it, you can seee all you pictures and you can copy those on to your desktop.

to import pictures u need to have apple software installed.. the pc suite thing

Yes you can use either method with your mac and it then use the appropriate piece of software and you should be able to do what you are trying to get done. As long as you have the right software it should not be an issue.

you can simply import pictures through itunes,you dont need any specific apple software.
nothing like a pc suite. thats for nokia phones mostly
