My Iphone does not ring anymore - Page 2

Help Me please, my iphone is not ringer its not vibrating and i cant hear any voices the volume is set to zero even if i try to put it higher, i cant hear any one when i try to answer a call though now at least people can hear me, when i try to call the screen turns black (takes very long to respond when in sms or dailing mode) other stuff on the phone are ok

better restore once, but be ware you will loose all the contacts.

How can i restore my iphone, note that i have allready rest my iphone by going to General -->Reset --> Reset all settings.
But still that helped may be in restoring the mic options but i am still left with the output sounds

I cannot hear the other people on the line. They sound very low, any suggestions?

i am happy today that i was abale to get all sounds out of my phone, now it can ring it does not hang and nothing is wrong again so i am so happy ........... i solved it by removing an application that i have downloaded that was meant to help me add ringtones to my iphone

Hi bangarunaidu

The applications name is 1.1.1 Ring tone patch version 1.0, this is supposed to allow me to add the MeCCa patch that would enable me to add ringtones, but it rather screwed up my iphone.

does any one know of an application that i can add that would allow me to add ringtones without corupting the other stuff.

You can make a try changing your headset. It may work. Otherwise try restoring your iphone. That is a common solution for many iphone problems.

smokeytl is right!!!!! I have a 2g iphone with same problem. When I would try to call it, it would not wake up and ring. I would not know if someone called me until I woke it up. This is what I did to fix it. First I stuck a ear cleaner bud into the headphone jack to clean it out a bit, then I inserted an original iphone headphone into the jack and removed it (I did this a few times). Now it works fine. It wakes up when someone rings it. (BEWARE OF CHEAP GENERIC HEADPHONE!!!!! THATS WHAT MESSED MINE UP I THINK).
