Question Can you HIDE TEXTS???

I have a Treo 755p now. I have a iphone on order.
On my phone (Treo 755p) when i get a text message it tells me that i have a message and i have to hit "go to" button to see and read the text.

MY buddy at work has the iphone. Not a new 3g. When i texted him, on his iphones main screen it said my name and showed the contents of the text..
I DO NOT LIKE THAT... I need some privacy. If i had a iphone and it was laying there and a text came anyone can read it... Like the girlfriend!!!!
Is there a fix for that? Thanks Rich

or you can go to the settings and turn the preview setting off so that it won't show the content on the main screen.

1. Press on the setting icon
2. Select General Settings
3. Select Passcode Lock
4. toggle off the,"Show SMS Preview"

Now it will only show who it came from and not the message. Hope this helps.

the texts only pop up if your on chat style view. other wise it says 1 new text message and your click ok to view it. So to solve your problem just change the text viewing style thing
