Imo, considering iPhone's capabilities, there will be tons of iPhone porn sites.

iphone porn sites? As in, porn sites that support the iphone?

I would expect there to be little point having porn sites that work with the iphone, as it would take forever to load images of any kind due to the slow data connection.

Ya we are ready to offer adult content to people, but this old mobile stuff is not going to work with this new platform, so when it is possible it will open a new day of mobile entertainment. Not just porn, but realistically PORN will be their first we always are. With out PORN U might not be talking on the NET or even this site right now. So even if U hate PORN and do not want to see it and that is cool but with out it your life would really not be the same.

If YouTube can play videos I can offer pics don’t worry, your only looking at sites made for "web" users. We will make Iphone sites that will play videos on Iphone, and offer pics, graphics, and pages that will load fast for U. I am sure they will have to be really simple at first as the available bandwidth will be limited, but PORN will be their first.

Yes, i'm sure you it will work. But you can't change the facts, and the facts are that there is no way to stream video quickly over a slow connection.

well not sure about all that, Youtube is doing it right now are they not? I have not see how fast their load times are, but stream video's do play over dial-up internet connections right now. Youtube, Google and Apple can do it, but your right its not going to be “net” videos they will be about the same as dial-up maybe even a bit less, and the buffering at first will be a bit slow, but this is going to move really fast.

In fact people wanting to see sites, and use features like videos on their mobiles will be the catalyst that spurs faster and faster connection that will come with better and better sites/videos for mobile users. Its up to U guys how long U want to take, but is going to happen. The best way to get your mobile videos to play faster is to keep supporting services that are created to bring U those mobile videos

But I think there probably will be quite a few "specialised" websites for the iPhone condiering it's capabilities.

It will be a lot slower the dial-up. Sue, the capability is there but most people aren't masochistic enough to waste time with it.

Maybe, but that won't change the iphones data speeds.

I have not even been allowed to play with the MPEG4 format yet, but would like to get a shot at it so I could start to answer my own questions about how to best offer videos . How fast is YouTube loading? have to tried Youtube in mobile not the Wi-Fi yet?

I hope their will be a good audience for streaming mobile videos, but I am sure it will be messy in the first year. Can not blame us, I am sure we will provide the best options possible as we go along.

If I can just get any videos to play online for the Iphone I would have a better idea of what will be possible on day 1. My thinking is should not be all that bad, resolution will not have to be much on the screen, maybe cutting clips up in 3-5min sections with some buffering magic, and 1-2min wait at most Poof U have streaming mobile videos!!!

Will not be pretty but that is about the worse case I can see, who know do not really want to have to cut-up videos to make them stream online, but hey we will have to start someplace

Nope, I have not and will not try youtube on a mobile. Hell, normal web pages load slowly when using my Palm on wifi and that is going to be a hell of a lot faster than the iphones mobile web browing.

In other words: proof of concept. People watching porn will not appreciate having there videos cut into small sections.
