Safari Browsers Play Vids?

Does the Built in Safari Browsers Play MPEG4 videos on the web? Has anyone been able to get this to work yet, or will it be until the 12th before we get this added?

Hey, MaxPower, I suppose no one has found a solution yet.
I haven't got mine because I'm outside of US

The people that have them will not talk to us, this is what is important did they block videos from the WWW. Does their Safari browser play your home movies on the web, or Myspace, of can U see the MPEG4 video I have made for your Iphone?

Can someone talk to me here PLEASE?

Will it play Flash on web sites, can we get some REal talk going here. Its nice U want to get a Iphone for your Mom, or U hate it cuzz your broke but I think real Q&A needs to happen NOW

Here is what I've found in iPhone User's Guide (page 112)(http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPhone_User_Guide.pdf):

Quote:
The following video file formats are supported by iPhone:

- H.264 (Baseline Profile Level 3.0)
- MPEG-4 (Simple Profile)

However, it seems that iPhone can only play YouTube online videos. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Send a message via MSN to VietXKosuke
If you already have it, can't you just try it for yourself?
And calm down. No need to keep shouting everywhere, go have a glass of water, take some deep breaths and come back. =]

Vx.

Hi, If anyone wants to check a very cool video to see if it works. You can try this:

CharlieFinal.mov on WebFives

If you have a wifi connection that's very good, you should get an incredibly high quality video. If your connection is mobile, you should get a smaller, but viewable video.

We have not been able to check on an iPhone, but believe this should work. If anyone can verify, please let me know. In any case, the video also looks great on Safari on the Mac.
Thanks, Mike

Mike, I'm afraid iPhone won't play that video, because it doesn't support flash (video player is a flash object on that sample page).

Flash for PC, H.264 or MPeg4 for iPhone

Hi Alex,
In fact, it is only Flash on PCs or Intel Macs. Since PowerPC Macs and iPhone's don't support Flash, we stream H.264 or MPeg4 depending on the bandwidth to them.
Did you try it on an iPhone or PPC Mac?
Thanks,
Mike
