i phone 3G os 3.0

I am having trouble with itunes on my 3G phone, when I connect it in the car to my griffin fm i trip after every individual song is played the screen lights up, is there a way of stopping this? When it had the 2.2 operating system it would stay blank until I tapped it. Is v3.0 incompatable with i trip and have any one having the same problems.

No I don't use this in my car so far. But my guess is it may be due to the version conflict. May be the new one is not as good as the old in some cases like yours.
