iphone in Australia?

Hey guys,

I live in Australia and I was wondering if i was to import an iPhone from the USA would it work fine in the USA?

Is it possible for me to buy an unlocked iPhone?

I'm hoping that i can just put my sim card into it and it will work ok.

Also can anyone tell me the best website i would be best to buy it off when its released.

If you import from the United States why wouldn't it work in the United States? If it is from the United States, wouldn't it work there? I would think that you would have more trouble getting it to work elsewhere. Anyway, I am sure the phone will get unlocked soon after it comes out.
