UK survey: 7 million keen to buy iPhone

More than half (56 per cent) of mobile phone users in the UK had heard of the Apple iPhone, according to mobile measurement firm M:Metrics ' April Benchmark Survey.
Of these, 30 per cent said they had a 'strong interest' in buying an Apple iPhone , even if a UK launch date hasn't been set yet.

Hey ! I never expected that iPhone will become that popular even before its release. I think that it is set to bring a big revolution change in the mobile phone industry. :D

Is Apple going to make that many iPhones? And, are they going to ship that many to the UK?

7 million is a whole lot of people. Do you think the number is accurate? Or, will more people or less people actually get the iPhone? I don't think all of them will, because they may not be able to afford it.

7 million is a lot of iPhones.

However i think apple will keep up with the demand.:P

As their trying to earn their money after their hard work.

Like anything in high demand they'll probably be shortages for the first few months (like with the Wii and the 360) but eventually it will level off until Christmas when they'll get hard to find again. I just hope the release goes well and there aren't stories about fights breaking out or anything like there was over the Xbox 360.
