iPhone prices

iPhone prices announced:

$499 for the 4GB model,
$599 for the 8GB model.

you would pay the extra $100 to get the bigger memory on it !
i say they will sell out faster!

The pricing is dead-on, in my opinion. I believe they could have increased both another $50.00 and not lost sales, but more power to them to keep the prices down where they are now!

If they are to increase the price, it will be less affordable for people in countries where their currency is weaker than the dollar. Such as in Asia

Do you honestly think that will stop crazy tech Asians from buying it? They have to be hip and trendy when it comes to the tech world.. otherwise it's not Asia!

I agree that $599 is a good price and everybody will go for the bigger one.
I searched in Amazon couple of days back and the have started taking orders/pre-orders yet for iphone.

Actually, the smaller one will sell more. It's like the new Nano, the most poular is the 4GB, not the 8GB. (but i suppose the 8 is the same price as the 30).

Actually, it depends how well the salesmen are at your Cingular stores... It would be extremely easy, for me at least, to talk someone up 4GB for $100.

Yeah but I'm thinking about the masses, who probably don't know what the hell a gigabyte is.

I know my dad though 1Gb was going to be a good enough card for him when he bought it, and now he knows he should have bought a bigger capacity.
