If by mean looking at a company and the way it is going that you are charting trend lines as a master of technical analysis, then yes, a lot of money could potentially be made there if you have luck on your side. Simply because a company is up 40% one day doesn't mean it's going to go up again the next. In fact, it could fall 60% the next day leaving you out. Failed filings, bad analyst reviews, competition mergers, competition quarterly EPS earnings, etc. all play a factor that you have to look at before you invest.
